Adult Ministries

Wayside is dedicated to providing the tools necessary to keep families together, strong and working for the Lord. Our adult ministries are vital in ensuring that not only children and teens, but also adults continue to grow and learn the truths of God's Word.

Through small group studies, worship services and various other activities, we are striving to help the adults in our church family gain the knowledge and build the relationships they need to be productive, fruit-bearing Christians.

Sundays

9:30 a.m. Sunday School
Wayside Baptist Church offers a variety of adult Sunday School options, including classes for men, ladies, couples, coed adults and young adults.

10:30 a.m. Worship Service
We at Wayside firmly believe that knowing God's Word is the only way that Christians can survive the trials of this life. Our worship services are centered around the Bible and the instruction that it gives us for our lives. During these services, we also worship the Lord through our music, which is Christ centered and uplifting; a mixture of the traditional hymns and more recent conservative songs of praise to the Lord.

6:30 p.m. Worship Service
During our Sunday evening service, we utilize more of a teaching style of sermon, many times teaching through entire books of the Bible extending over many weeks. Our church family has learned much about God's Word by attending these services.

Wednesdays

Prayer Time 7:00 - 7:40 p.m.
In what may be the most important service of the week, our church family dedicates this time each week to prayer. During this prayer service, we pray for our nation, for our church, for the unsaved, and for any requests that are given for any need. Individuals are able to present their needs before the Lord and their brothers and sisters in Christ. Time is set aside for personal, private prayer. We are truly blessed to be able to go to our Lord directly with any need on our hearts. Christians draw closer to the Lord and to others during this weekly "prayer meeting".

Fellowship Time 7:40 - 8:00 p.m.
"In order to have friends, you have to be friendly!" Fellowship time is the time to make new friends and spend time with the old ones! Relationships are an important part of our Christian life and our church! During Fellowship Time, we enjoy some coffee, dessert and some good conversation.

Bible Study 8:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Because we can never get enough of the Word of God, we enjoy a weekly, Wednesday night Bible study. These studies continue over several weeks and include informative study guides. These study guides are wonderful references for you to use during later studies.
