Teen Ministry

Wayside Baptist Church is excited about our Teen Ministry. We know that today's teens are faced with many difficult situations on a daily basis. We want to arm them with the power of prayer and the understanding of God's Word so that they can build a relationship with Jesus Christ, thus enabling them to make the right choices in life.

9:30 a.m. -- Sunday School
A small group setting is the perfect place for Bible study, questions and answers and group discussion. During this hour, teens learn lessons from their Bible and how to apply this knowledge to their lives. This is the place where teens begin to build relationships within the group and many life-long friendships are begun.

7 p.m. -- Wednesday Night Sanctum
Sanctum is defined as a sacred or holy place; a refuge, haven, retreat or hideaway. In the midst of a week of ungodly influences, teens can come for a spiritual recharge. We spend time exchanging prayer requests and praises, pray for the needs of the group, participate in fun and fresh group games that could be physically or mentally challenging, grab a drink and a snack, and most importantly gather to hear practical preaching and make decisions for the Lord.

SNAC (Sunday Night After Church)
One Sunday night per quarter we engage with teens and their parents. We share a light meal and activity calendar details for the next quarter. Teens (and sometimes parents) play a game for cash/gift cards!

Youth Emphasis Revival
Each year in November we bring in evangelists with the touch of God to minister to our church. People of all ages will be stirred for the Lord, but there are special activities throughout the week for young people.

Annual Valentine's Banquet
Come one, come all to our banquet held on church grounds the Saturday prior to Valentine's Day.

Teen Camp
Join us for a week of spiritual and physical renewing where you'll make memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. We offer many opportunities for fundraisers to help with camp costs.

Monthly Outings
Overnighters, skating, bowling, Christmas caroling, sporting events, corn mazes, paintball, laser tag, trampoline parks, or even work days at the church prior to a big event are a blast!
